Finally getting somewhere on Heart-shaped Box.  With a little luck, I’ll have it done in time for the Valentine’s Contest at Lit.

Because it’s a contest story, it won’t post for a day or two at SOL and Lush.  I always give contest stories a little exclusive time on the contest site.  If you’re from one of the other sites, feel free to cross over for one story and vote to help me out in the contest.

Fairly, mind you.  Only vote once.  Lit removed multiple votes anyway, and may remove your original vote as well.  So, voting more than once may actually hurt more than it helps.

I put my next back catalog story in at Lush.  Waiting for “Wish of Jeanie” to be approved.  This is an older story before I started using an editor, so I hope it doesn’t have any glaring mistakes in it.  I think I’ll start running those older ones through my editor to make sure.  I wasn’t thinking about it until I’d already submitted it this evening.  I’ll pick out what I want to post tomorrow and send it off tonight.  My editor has a pretty good turnaround, so it will probably be ready to go by tomorrow evening when I’ll submit the next one.

Once I finish Heart-Shaped, I’m probably going to jump into one of those off-category stories.  The first-time one “Under Her Wing” has been nagging me, so that may be the one.

I just joined up with Lushstories and submitted a story ( Pickin’ an’ Grinnin’ )

We’ll see how it goes.  Everything is in place for the website to handle the new links if the story gets approved.  I’ll activate everything once the story goes up.

The submission form is a bit of a pain since you can’t paste formatted text, but oh well.  I’ll submit some of my recent stuff that’s been edited, and if the feedback is strong enough, I’ll start posting my new stories there as well.

Seems to be a fairly well populated site, so I have high hopes.

I’m hoping I read the comment from a couple of entries ago correctly that the person making the comment didn’t want it made public.  No need to do anything if you want the comment to remain private.  If you want it approved and appearing to anyone on the blog, just leave me another comment here and I’ll approve it.

Every first comment has to be approved ( to help stop spam ) but after that, if you use the same email or have signed up as a user on the blog, your comments will appear without the need for approval from that point on.

Had a long few days, but I’m working on Heart-shaped Box now.  Just couldn’t get Valentine’s Flowering to flow.  Maybe I’ll save it for next year.  Maybe I’ll modify the idea for another contest theme.  I’ll just have to see when and if that story starts singing to me.  Thought I had it, but guess not LOL

Heart-shaped is MILF/Cougar, so my regular readers should enjoy it.  Going to try to make some major progress on it today, while I have the chance.

Tried switching up the perspective on Valentine’s Flowering, and that’s not really helping.  I’m just not getting the spark on this one, the catalyst that would reasonably ( within my reality ) get to the sex.

Think I’m going to shelve this one for a while and work on something else.  Probably “Heart-Shaped Box”.

Of course, thinking about that one, I haven’t really come up with the spark for it yet, either.  A lot of the time, that spark happens as I’m writing the opening – defining the characters and getting them into the same place at the same time.  That might hold true for this one as well.  Hope so, or that I get another idea, because I’d really like to have something in the contest.

Not that I’ll ever win LOL  I just like the added exposure.  The only real chance you have to win is with Romance, Sci-Fi, NonHuman, GayMale, or one of the other categories that gets fewer, but higher votes.  I’m fine with that.  I know it going in, and the money isn’t that important to me.  Even the commissions I do are trades for things I find useful.

I keep running into mental roadblocks on Valentine’s Flowering, now that I’m past a certain point.

I think I may experiment with telling the story from the son’s POV and see what happens.  I know that my stories are purposely at the outside edge of what’s probable ( and sane LOL ) in the real world, but I like to keep it at least plausible, and the POV I’m writing from right now just isn’t giving me the “moment” that would lead to the heat.

Maybe coming at it from the other way will work.  If it’s not flowing, I’ll move into one of the other umpteen story ideas and starts I already have running and write on that to keep busy and get new work out.

Valentine’s Flowering is coming along pretty well.  I’m going with the same first-person perspective I experimented with in Peppermint Patty, and coming from the Mom’s POV.

Not sure I’ll have it done for the first day of the contest at Lit, but it should make it in time to enter.  Could possibly have another in the Milf/Cougar theme.  I’ve had this idea called “Heart-shaped Box” floating around in my head.

I assume you can guess where that one’s going.

Got the wrong idea from my name, and felt the need to send a textual sneer.  Gotta love how some people’s minds work, huh?

I’ll just have to say that the feedback I receive says that you’re in a minority, gentle reader.  People seem to enjoy fuck stories, I enjoy writing them, and I’ll just keep writing them, thank you very much 🙂

I might also add that there’s even less challenge to sending an email denouncing an entire body of work unread, based upon your own faulty assumptions.

But that would be snarky 😉

At almost 500 votes on Literotica now, Good Will has the record for the most votes on one of my stories outside a themed contest.

Glad everyone got a kick out of it!  Doing well at Storiesonline too.

I’m working on the next one, and hope to have it out soon.  Thanks for all the comments and favorites!  I’ve been sending replies to the emails, and I’ll get to the public comments soon.

Not really.  I had some commission work I was doing and had to put what I was writing on the back burner for a day or two to get it done.

I’m expecting Good Will to post at Literotica tonight, and I’ll be getting back to writing on Valentine’s Flowering this evening as well.
