    Just did an update on my stats at Lit. I was a month late last quarter, so it's a little short this quarter. It's also May, when I do my yearly recap ( because May was my first quarterly track ) And here's what the stats look like: 68,474 Words in new stories 12,607 Votes 1,596,763 Views 243 PCs 453 Story Favorites With Lowborn most likely posting soon, I'll already be 9/10ths of the way to the word count with a single story this year *laugh* Storiesonline just completely revamped the way they handle scores... Again. I don't think I'm going to ass with tracking those more than once a year. SOL seems like it's dying a slow death, anyway. It seems like every time I post a new story, it's getting fewer downloads and views than the last. May go and do a track on Lushstories, though. It's going to look pretty pitiful with the zero and low vote Dark stories I've posted there, but oh well! It's obvious that going with my RR pen name there was the right choice, because those shorter, almost pure stroke stories are what seems to be the preferred thing there. Anyway, if you want to check out more about my stats, the link is up there in an earlier post somewhere. *laugh*

    Well, so much for 8 chapters *laugh* It's going to be ten. I've already added one new chapter image when I knew it was going to go to nine. The actual cover for the story will represent Ch. 09. I'll have to make a new one for the epilogue chapter 10. I'll most likely post previews for every chapter in this thread as I submit them. I'm going for a twice-per-week release schedule, so that's five weeks of a double helping of new work from Danica's World/Nobles by Deed. Should be about 52-53k words in total. Look for the notice that the first draft has gone gold soon, I hope!

    One of the things I usually do when my creative juices run out on me is go back to my roots. Since I don't have any players for a PnP role-playing game, that means console and crpgs. In the recent run of bad months, I took advantage of GOG to get that fix, which has finally got me back to feeling creative again. Part of that adventure: Also beat Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights II with all expansions ( I'd never played NWII before ) There are times I just have to step away and immerse myself in someone else's fantasy world before I can cross over back into mine. This has been one of those times. One of these days, I'll probably play through MM9. I got it and started it, but ran into game-breaking bugs that put me off it. The GOG version has a fan patch that fixes most of those, so I might actually finish the game. But for now, I'm feeling my own worlds again, so that will have to wait until my next creativity drain. Going to have to dig through boxes some time, because I have certificates from MM3, MM4, and MM5 kicking around here from back in the day. You used to mail them a code, and they sent you a physical certificate ( as well as other goodies, such as New World Computing bottle-opener keychains *laugh* ) I've beaten MM1 and MM2 as well, but it was too late to get certificates *pout*

    You might have noticed a couple of things added to the forum here. If not, there's a new Downloads tab up there. What's in that section right now are Kindle .prc files of "Casting off Convention" and "Blackhawk Hall" as well as RTF ( Real Text Format ) versions of both stories. Provided I've done everything correctly ( *laugh* ) you can download the Kindle versions to your Kindle and carry them with you wherever you go to read at your leisure. Blackhawk Hall includes all 6 chapters in a single file. Casting has all three of the chapters from SOL ( It was a single submission at Lit ) SOL readers already had these options, but I've had many Lit readers request portable and offline versions of my stories. Plus, the cover images are attached to my kindle versions, where the SOL versions don't have it. The RTF versions are the same full stories, but in a cross-platform document format that should be readable on just about any computer. It's a way you can download the stories and read them at your leisure. As time moves on, I'll add more of my stories to this section, until they're all up there. New stories won't appear in the download section for at least a month after release, in order to give them time to perform and draw feedback on the websites where I post. For the time being, it's set for a maximum of two downloads at once, and five downloads per day. I'll adjust that as necessary for bandwidth/convenience. Odds are that the really long stories ( Danica, especially ) will be in multiple volumes. When each part of Danica is around 20k words, that would be one blood HUGE file. The whole story will still be downloadable, but it just won't be a single file. Eventually, this new section will also provide another means to audition or donate for my LST3Ks. RejectReality stories will also be added to the download section. I'll announce this on my blog and elsewhere soon. I just want to give the newly released "Devan: Deflowered" plenty of front page time before moving it off with this information. If you'd like to see other document formats added ( PDF for example ) let me know. If there's some other e-reader format you'd like to see, I'll probably need some pointers on locating the necessary converters. Feel free to ask questions or discuss things here.

    And, I can confirm that every game from the Might and Magic Six Pack Limited Edition work "out of the box" without issue. The installer takes care of having the games run in DOS box if necessary, and puts in all the appropriate settings. Unfortunately, GOG doesn't have Monty Python and the Holy Grail... Awww... Oh well
