    It's been half a dozen per day on the forum and about the same number on the blog ever since Lowborn started posting. They seem to be getting frustrated on the blog. Not even trying to post any more - just attempting to register. The few that get through are usually unverified ( fake emails ) and thus will self-delete in a week or so. Within a couple of days, they usually appear in the spam database and I nuke them. Same holds true for the ones that manage to verify. All that work for 3 posts that made it to the public eye for brief periods the whole time. Spammers, you have dishonored yourselves, your families, and your ancestors. Do the honorable thing

    Just discovered a hook that will allow members to post anonymously on the forum. What it does is add a checkbox to the side of the editor for "post anonymously". If ticked, your post will be assigned to a user called "Anonymous" or something like that, so your average Joe reading the forum can't link the post back to your member ID. This would only be available in the full editor, not "quick reply". Naturally, I'd still have the ability to link the post back to the member who posted. That's a necessity in order to keep bad actors under control. It would allow you to protect your forum identity, though.     In case anyone's wondering about the obvious omission so far, the reason that none of the "Magic of the Wood" stories have posted is because I'm planning to re-edit "Steward of the Wood" and probably "Daughter of the Wood" before converting any of them. They've always been weaker in both writing skills and storytelling than all the rest, and I can help that at least a little by editing them again. Once edited and posted in the new form on the story sites, I'll get them converted and begin posting them for download as ebooks.

    Upgraded the spam protection on the blog with yet another layer, because I was getting fed up with deleting spammer registrations with emails that were brand new, and thus not yet registering on the spam databases. Forcing everyone to validate now to register ( though not to post ) and auto-deleting unverified accounts. Not as if there's any reason to sign up for the blog anyway. I've determined that almost every single registration there ( and on RR ) has been pure spam. Also added the Mail.RU spider to the spider listings. We'll see how much of my bandwidth those jackasses are wasting, and if it gets annoying, I'll ban the S.O.Bs For now, they only seem to be hitting the site once or twice every couple of hours. Probably should forbid them anyway, because they're most likely just indexing places for the Russian spammers to attack.
