4500 words into a new story called “Diamond Valentine” and hoping to have the first draft finished this weekend. Most likely will enter it in the Literotica Valentine’s contest on next Thursday/Friday, and then post it to SOL and Lush the following day.
Lots of ideas brewing for that contest and the Seduction contest at Lush. Just have to see if I have the time and energy to bring any of them to fruition.

I have a couple of ideas for new stories percolating, but nothing close enough to really say much about right now. I’m battling a story in another pen name, and I’m bound and determined to defeat the thing LOL
I did finally go in today and fix the Hot Shorts page. When I created it, I forgot to test it while logged out, and didn’t realize that I’d carried over the image filtering from the Dark page as-is. It was always meant to display the covers, because I want “display all” to be the default on this part of the website.
So now, the covers display as intended, but if you’re a member of Darkniciad.com, you can set up image filters that will block images based upon your preferences.
Also added a link to the “My Stories” page that goes to the “My Work” page on the Dark side of the site since I’m posting my Dark and Les stories there under the RR name. They only allow one pen name, and that’s the one I signed up with there.
Along those lines, Lushstories readers will have some new things coming as Valentine’s Day approaches. I have quite a few Les and Dark stories for the holiday that haven’t made it there yet, and I’ll be posting some that I feel are appropriate for Lush this year.

Started and finished a story today — WooT!
It’s a quickie for the Lushstories quickie contest. It clocks in at barely below the 1500 word limit, and I’ll probably start the editing process tomorrow.
I’m calling it “Wash Away the Blues” and I love the intensity of it. Odds are that this will be a Lushstories exclusive, since flash fiction generally doesn’t get much of a response on the story sites.
Hoping for Monday, but I’m also working on another story, so that and long work hours could very well hold it back until Friday.
Readers from other sites are certainly welcome to make a one-off trip to Lush to vote for it in the contest once it posts, though voting is only a small part of the determination of winners there. The winners are chosen by a panel for the most part.
Don’t let that stop anyone from showing their support, though 😉 Anonymous voting is allowed for scores of 4 or 5, so if you think it’s worth that, you don’t even have to sign up.
I imagine it’s obvious, but I’m in a bit of a slump. That story I was working on petered out on me, as did a couple of other ideas for the Halloween contest.
I’m fiddling with one for the Winter Holidays contest at Lit now, but we’ll see what happens.
I get in these ruts sometimes, and it takes me a while to pull out of them.
For Lush readers, there’s a Thanksgiving story up from my archives called “Thricegiving” ( as Les Lumens ) and another Les Thanksgiving-themed story called “Center Piece” going in the queue tonight.
Yeah, if you read any of that, you see what happens when someone has an agenda.
Anyway, that idea I had for the Lush Autumn Equinox contest just wasn’t working. I tried coming at it from several angles, but something was always wrong. Mostly, I didn’t like how the premise reflected badly upon Wicca – even though I had it in my head to stress that the people professing as practitioners were posers at best.
I have a couple of ideas for the Lit Halloween contest, though. We’ll see how those pan out. One would be group sex, while the other would be MILF.
More once I see how the ideas are congealing.
Someone left a comment today about Lush, pointing to a blog complaining about the site.
I have read the complaints, and I’m afraid I don’t see the discrimination.
As a webmaster, you have to make difficult choices. I ban pretty much the entire Russian Federation, Ukraine, China, and umpteen other places because the hits from those locations are so overwhelmingly spam that it’s not worth checking them. Instead, my ban message indicates that one can contact me through one of the story sites ( Lush, Lit, or SOL ) and I will manually allow the user, if anyone from those locations ever does show up on the site.
I’m not discriminating. I’m protecting my site. From the descriptions provided ( even within the blog complaining about Lush ) I see the exact same thing.
Users from India are provided the means to submit stories, and I have little doubt that once an original story has been approved, the user would probably be given the same access as anyone else. The country ban is a firewall that protects the site from having to deal with a problem that was consuming time and resources better spent on improving the site and approving stories.
As someone who has maintained an internet presence since the late 90s, I fully understand Lush’s position.
I can also see how someone who wanted to submit an original story in good faith would feel offended. I don’t begrudge them that emotion, but I’m not going to support an anti-Lush campaign on that basis.
Just finished the first draft of another story for the Summer Lovin’ contest at Lit. It’s a taboo brother/sister tale called “Sunny Daze”.
I’ll edit it in the upcoming week, and submit it to come out ( if all goes well ) Friday morning.
Also just started a new short story for my Hot Shorts page. It’s called “Lot Lizard” and could very well come out before Sunny Daze. I already know it’s going to be a quickie, and it won’t take very long to either write or edit.
Also have a good idea for the Lushstories Autumn Equinox contest. Odds are that I’ll start that one as soon as I finish “Lot Lizard”. It’s going to be called “Full Filled” I believe.

EDIT ( a little later in the day ): And, “Lot Lizard” is done 🙂 It’s a short enough story that I’ll probably do the read-through and edit today, then send it off for final editing tonight.
